Indian Engineering Services Recruitment Examination which is commonly known as the ESE, is the only and only exam to get into the IES under civil services. It is one of the toughest examination in India and the best option as well for the engineering graduates. The Government of India stocks the vacancies through the exam. UPSC IES Notification 2018
The notification for the examination UPSC IES 2018 was unveiled on 27th September 2017. The notification contains all the in-depth erudition of the test. UPSC IES Application Form 2018
To appear for the examination, the first thing that a particular has to do is to register in a given time limit. UPSC IES Registration Fees 2018
There is a fixed fee for all of the candidates – 200/- Rs excepting female candidates or the aspirants belonging to the Schedule Tribes/ Schedule Castes/ PH. The fee for UPSC registration 2018 can be made through three modes only:
- “Pay by cash”, deposit the whole fees via offline mode, physically in any of the Branch of State bank of India.
- Use the net banking facility (online) option of the bank.
- The fee payment can be made through Master Credit/ VISA/ debit card.
Note: Once the fee paid by a candidate. then it will not be refunded under any circumstances. Incomplete application forms will not be accepted by the commission for UPSC IES 2018 and will be rejected without informing the candidate.
Engineering Services Examination Eligibility 2018
The Union Public Service Commission selects only eligible candidates and thus, aspirants are informed to check before applying for the post whether they are eligible or not using the UPSC IES eligibility Criteria 2018.
Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan. A Tibetian refugee who left Tibet before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement in India is able to apply for UPSC IES 2018. An Indian Origin person who migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burna or from East African countries of Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, the United Republic of Tanzania and Zaire and from Vietnam is also capable.
Age Limit: Aspirant applying for the UPSC IES 2018 Examination note below 21 years and not above the 30 years of age on 1st August 2018.Born not earlier than 2ndAugust2nd August not later than 1st August 1997. Five years of UPSC IES Age Limit relaxation is allowed for candidates who are employing under the different government sectors given in the notification.
UPSC IES Exam Pattern 2018
Preliminary (Stage – I)
It is the first UPSC IES exam 2018 of the three stages and will be arranged on 7th January 2018. The UPSC IES 2018 Prelims Examination will be sectioned in two papers – Paper I & II. The Paper 1 – which will be common for all the four branches – General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Paper. The candidate has to write the examination for a duration of 2 hours and will comprise a total of 200 marks. The Paper – II will differ as per the branches and their syllabus – Engineering Discipline specific paper of 3 hours of duration and 300 marks as a total.

The Answer Scheme of the test displays that there would be a negative marking of 0.33 mark deduction for every wrong answer. There will be given four options in a multiple choice question of which an aspirant has to choose one. If an aspirant opts two of them then the attempt will be considered as wrong and the same penalty will be furnished. If a question left blank then no mark will be deducted.
Aspirants who will get a satisfying result will then be permitted to appear for the UPSC IES Mains Examination 2018. The Engineering Service Mains exam will subsist two papers of specified branch syllabus and make a total of 600 marks which will be distributed as 300 marks each.
It is the last of the examination of the whole UPSC IES 2018 selection procedure. The personal interview is an exam of 200 marks in which heads will take an oral personality test.

UPSC IES Admit Card -Prelims/ Mains 2018
UPSC IES 2018 admit card for the prelims and mains examination will be published on the legitimate forum of the Union Public Service Commission – www.upsc.gov.in. UPSC IES Result 2018
For the first stage exam of UPSC IES 2018, results will be expected to be announced in the month of February.
